WordPress

WordPress has become the standard in web-based site development for a very simple reason, it can be edited on the web instead of using advanced web development tools like Adobe Dreamweaver. We have used WordPress for a number of years for our blog, but now have decided to use it for our web site as well. As we move further and further into the cloud, WordPress affords us the flexibility to develop on the A Team Meetingweb for the web. It will allow us to be more current and timely. It will allow us to be more content oriented because after all, WordPress is a content management system first and foremost. With WordPress, we can use images, photos, referenced documents and other media to embed into the site to make the information more valuable to our clients and our prospects.

It will also help make our site more personal because we believe business is personal. Our business is based on personal relationships that have been strengthened over many years of working closely together. We believe that using WordPress will allow our website interact with our clients in a more personal way. we hope you enjoy the new look and feel of www.trif.com and get value from the insights we make available.More posts are available on our blog.

Images of trif.com

In August 2011 we were redefining our mission and vision for TRI. Although similar in emphasis, the mission seems closely aligned with the symbolism associated to the Peacock. This picture was taken by Robert Jones during a visit to the Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine, Florida.

The Peacock smbolized incorruptibility vision, protection, watchfulness, good-will, nurturing, guidance, kind-heartedness and integrity.

We identify with the peacock in our quest to serve our clients.  For that reason, we have selected this image as our home page image on http://www.trif.com.

If you don’t know it, you can’t see it

The date was 1942; the location was Muroc Army Air Field (today Edwards Air Force Base). Whenever it was on the ground, the P-59 jet was fitted with a fake propeller for the sake of secrecy. A day came when test-pilot Jack Woolams rented a gorilla suit and took off in the jet wearing it along with a big cigar protruding from his mouth and a derby hat on his head. Once airborne, he found a lone P-38 pilot, pulled alongside, giving the P-38 pilot a clear view of the jet and gorilla suit, then waved. The next day when queried at the local watering hole, not a single P-38 pilot had seen an “escaped gorilla” or knew anything about it. The explanation: why of course, it must be that P-38 pilots could only see what they believed was possible.

We find our clients often in the same state of mind with new technology. If they don’t know it, they can’t see it. That is where we come in. We know it, we can see it. We help our clients imagine the possibilities we can create. It takes an open mind and trust. Together we can create amazing things because all things are possible.

TRI Has A 24/7 Emergency Number

Google Voice is a new service from Google allowing you to select a telephone number and connect that number to one or many phones. You can use it to provide a single point of contact – a single number – to connect to many phones – land, mobile or IP. It is a free service unless you are making international calls with the service. So what can you do with it?

This is what we have done with Google Voice at TRI. We have set up a new number. An easy to remember number that will not change. It is 747 (like the jet) – 333 (make up something) – 8743 (TRIF). (747) 333-8743. Cool, right? So how does that help you? It is an emergency number when you need help NOW. That one number will reach out to ALL of us here at TRI no matter when you call or where we are. Someone will either answer or respond to that call within 30 minutes regardless of time of day or day of week, month or year.

You see, at TRI, we have all kinds of telephone service; land-line, cable, IP, toll-free, mobile, fax, skype, sightspeed and home telephone service. There are oodles of ways for you to contact us. But sometimes that in and of itself is a problem! It can get a bit frustrating We understand that sometimes, you just need to talk with someone, anyone, and you need to talk to someone now. Well this is how you can do it. Call 747-333-8743 and all our phones will ring. Someone will answer immediately or respond within 30 minutes. This is a bold commitment that won’t be free, but it will be there if you need it. We have also provided a direct connect to this number using your computer, find it on our contact page at http://www.trif.comwww.trif.com.

For more information on Google Voice, check out the many videos at http://www.google.com/googlevoice/about.html.

What is a TRIF?

TRIF; trĭf, –noun (origin: 1175–1225; (n.) ME tru(f)fle idle talk, deceit < OF, var. of truf(f)e mocker)

1) A mammal like creature which would fly if it could. But can only fly a few feet at a time – basically jumping from point to point.  Usually hides in cave-like dwellings for much of the day. Feeds on sweet objects that present themselves without hunt or chase.  2) A simulator, one who sets forth a claim, especially a claimant to a throne.

But really, it represents the three aspects of TRI, design, build and support.  Just like constructing a building, you have a design-build team that takes your ideas, hopes, wishes and dreams and brings them into reality.  Then a support team takes over to make sure the building stands tall and strong. Our team of experts works in the same way to create an application that fulfills your desires, performs as expected and we stand behind that application with dedicated support. That’s what TRIF stands for. Send an email to info@trif.com if you would like more information.
